The Abuja headquarters takes the lead in practicing this call, and following the mountain climbing activity, on July 16, 2023 (Saturday), the Abuja headquarters organized the "Lake Enjoyment, Fish Harvesting, and Park Exploration" event. Early in the morning, team members set out in full gear, driving for nearly 40 minutes to reach the Abuja Usama Dam.

The Usama Dam was constructed in 1990 and serves as a crucial water source for the residents of Nigeria's capital city. It has a water storage capacity of 93 million cubic meters, not only meeting the water demands of the federal capital region but also becoming a popular tourist destination. The reservoir boasts excellent water quality and abundant fish resources, attracting fishing enthusiasts. Additionally, it offers opportunities for various leisure activities such as picnicking and recreational entertainment.

Rowing the boat on the calm lake, witnessing the fish freely darting through the water, and being surrounded by lush greenery in the distance – the serene beauty of nature's lake and mountains is truly mesmerizing. The joyous atmosphere is filled with laughter and excitement as people experience the thrill of catching fish with their own hands.

Later, the team proceeded to the downstream of the Usama Dam to visit and learn from the China-aided Nigeria Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center. Covering an area of 35 hectares, this facility includes the Agricultural Machinery Exhibition Center, Water Treatment Center, Training Center, Grain and Oil Processing Demonstration Center, Conference Center, Seed Base, Vegetable Base, Dam, Livestock and Forage Demonstration Base, and other essential infrastructure like internal roads and water and electricity supply. The construction quality of the buildings meets the standards of high-quality projects in Nigeria.This project was initiated and operated by China Geo-engineering Corporation Overseas, constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau, and benefited from the participation of MCG in some of the construction aspects.
