China and Germany will hold a joint medical services drill in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality in October, spokesperson Yang Yujun of China's Defense Ministry said.

The drill, codenamed "Joint Rescue 2016" is scheduled to be held from Oct. 17 to Oct. 29. China and Germany will provide rescue services and epidemic prevention in an imaginary earthquake-stricken area.
