COMPANY BUILDS DATA STORAGE CENTER IN GUIZHOU

Construction of a data storage center for a China's technology firm began Wednesday in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province.


The Qixinghu data storage center, with the first phase of construction covering an area of 400,000 square meters and installation of about 600,000 storage servers, will be used to store the firm's management data from 170 countries.


Guizhou is China's first pilot zone for big data. The technology is being widely applied in government management, business and daily life.
