China will offer more support to
demonstration zones on sustainable development to achieve sustainable growth as
well as further implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an
official said.
China will adopt favorable measures for
financing, research projects, and building the talent pool in these
demonstration zones, said Xu Nanping, Vice Minister of Science and Technology
at a State Council Information Office press conference.
In December 2016, the State Council issued
a plan to build demonstration zones on sustainable development nationwide. On
Feb. 13, China officially approved Taiyuan, Guilin and Shenzhen to build the
first three demonstration zones.
