On December 21st, 2022, the Site Handover Ceremony of the Solar Power Station in Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna was successfully held. The Principal of NDA and related officers, Representative from the Teaching Hospital, Nigeria Rural Electrification Authority (REA), Consultant and Local Government, Mr. Xu Songwen and Mr. Yan Yong from Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) , Mr. Peng Yongtao from Mutual Commitment Co., Ltd. (MCC) attended the ceremony.

During the Site Handover Ceremony, Representatives of all parties delivered speeches, and the Consultant received the Site Handover Certificate from the Academy, which was personally presented to MCC.

Nigeria Solar Hybrid Power Project is a priority project of Nigeria Rural Electrification Agency (NEA), which includes 7 lots located in universities and teaching hospitals in seven states of Nigeria.

The Joint Venture of MCC/DEC  won the Lot 4 and Lot 7. Lot 4 is located in the city of Maiduguri, Borno State while Lot 7 in Kaduna State. The project is targeting to provide comprehensive energy for universities and teaching hospitals. The scope of the project includes Solar Power Plant, Rehabilitation of Transmission line, Street Lights, AMI, etc.
