On June 6, 2023, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State visited Danja to inspect the dam and access road and to assess the progress of the project. 

The Governor was accompanied by Deputy Governor Faruq Lawal Jobe and former Commissioner of Water Resources Hon. Musa Adamu Funtua during the inspection.

During the visit, the Governor toured the construction area where the project is taking place and expressed high praise for the significant progress made in the construction of the dam. 

The Danja Dam in Katsina State, which is being undertaken by MCG, will save 50 million cubic meters of water for irrigation and other agricultural activities. 

The Governor commended the project, highlighting that upon completion, the dam will alleviate the water needs in the area and promote social and economic activities in the region and its surrounding areas.
