From October 29th to 31st, Wu Yan, Vice
Minister and Member of the Party Leading Group of the Ministry of Education,
led a delegation from the Communist Party of China on an official visit to
Nigeria. During this visit, the delegation conducted an on-site evaluation of
the Luban Workshop at the University of Abuja, examining its development and
impact on local vocational education. In addition, the delegation actively
promoted the core principles of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese
Characteristics for a New Era and shared insights from the Third Plenary
Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Key representatives, including Wang
Feilong, General Manager of MCG, as well as Bai Ruxue and Zhu Guangming from
the Culture and Education Business Department, joined by delegates from Tianjin
Sino-German University of Applied Sciences and Tianjin Railway Technical and
Vocational College, welcomed the visiting delegation. Together, they attended a
comprehensive presentation on the progress and outcomes of the Luban Workshop,
highlighting its contributions to skill development and educational collaboration.
Vice Minister Wu Yan and the delegation
gained valuable insights into the development of the Luban Workshop at the
University of Abuja, exploring its construction progress, curriculum design,
teaching staff, and student training initiatives. As a flagship project for
international collaboration in Chinese vocational education, the Luban Workshop
is dedicated to equipping Nigeria with a skilled workforce through advanced
vocational training. Vice Minister Wu Yan commended the workshop's significant
achievements, emphasizing the importance of deepening China-Nigeria
collaboration to advance the workshop’s impact. This strengthened partnership
will foster the workshop’s growth, supporting Nigeria’s economic and social
development and enriching its technical talent pool.
During the visit, Vice Minister Wu Yan
engaged with representatives from various Nigerian political parties, experts,
scholars, and Chinese business leaders, sharing the core principles of Xi
Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the
insights from the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the
Communist Party of China. He emphasized the Chinese Communist Party's
commitment to a people-centered approach to development and its dedication to
building a global community with a shared future. Vice Minister Wu Yan affirmed
China’s readiness to deepen cooperation with developing nations like Nigeria,
working together to address global challenges and foster mutual growth and
prosperity.
