On 14th July 2015, Chinese Ambassador Mr. Gu Xiaojie, accompanied by MD, met with H.E. Mr. Dave Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi State.

Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

Gu said that China attaches great importance to developing ties with Nigeria. China encourages Chinese enterprises and local government strengthen communication with the new state government and promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields.

The Governor expected to strengthen cooperation with China in the field of mineral resources exploitation, agriculture, food processing, infrastructure, investment and financing, Chinese language teaching, etc.
