Gas Hydrate from the South China Sea
China plans to explore promising natural gas hydrate deposits in its waters next year, according to the China Geological Survey. New plans are being worked out to exploit so-called 'combustible ice' in the South China Sea in 2017. China is expected to have rich source of combustible ice, which is mainly distributed in the South China Sea, the East China Sea, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Northeast permafrost zone
