In 15th March 2023, Mr. Fan
Yongsheng representing MCG paid a courtesy call to Mr. Umo Eno, the newly
elected governor of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Akwa Ibom State is located on southeast coast of Nigeria and covers 31 Local Governments. It is rich in oil and gas resources, with convenient transportation, developed education system, and well-planned urban areas. It is known as "Europe of Nigeria."
Governor-elect Umo Eno, a member of the local traditional party PDP, previously served as the Minister of Land and Water Resources for Akwa Ibom State and was successfully elected as the next governor in March of this year.
During the meeting, Mr. Fan expressed
sincere congratulation on behalf of MCG to the Governor-elect Mr. Umo Eno,
introduced the development history and business areas of MCG in Nigeria,
and convey MCG's intention to invest and cooperate with the Government of Akwa
Ibom State. Both parties discussed on people’s livelihood projects and
infrastructure construction, hoping to bring more development to the state.
