On March 31, 2023, Mr. Wang Feilong, CEO of MCG, signed the contract for the Construction of the First Phase of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program (ATASP-1) with Department of Rural Development Planning, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Federal Govenment of Nigeria.

The signed project is supported by funding from the African Development Bank and aims to assist in the construction of agricultural infrastructure for the people in the northern region, to ease the current trend of deteriorating security situation, and is expected to have a positive impact on the security and economic situation in the region.

Gafan Dam is a first-phase project of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program (ATASP-1) and is located in Kano State, northern Nigeria, which is the most influential state in northern Nigeria and an important state for agricultural development in Nigeria.

Gafan Dam is a future development in the field of agricultural water conservancy and one more people’s livelihood project in Kano State, which will drive more investment to Kano and its neighboring region.

MCG will ensure timely and quality delivery of the project to address the agriculture water bottlenecks in this developing region.
