On July 5th, 2023, Representative of MCG paid a courtesy call to Sen. Mohammed Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, the National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) during the 2023 general election and former Governor of Kano State. Sen. Kwankwaso welcomed MCG for coming and appreciated the meeting with MCG. 

In the pleasant conversation, Mr. Johnson expressed admiration to Sen. Kwankwaso for his successful career in both serving the Nation and Kano State as well as his political contribution and wishes him to continue trying in different means. Sen. Kwankwaso was impressed by the achievement of MCG in recent decade and calling on MCG to bring resources to join the State to develop infrastructure and economic to provide more job opportunities for the local community, and to promote the relationship between China and Nigeria.
